Disney+ Greenlights "Moving" Season 2 with Superhero Twist
The hit supernatural drama expands its universe with new characters and bigger stakes.
Disney+ has officially greenlit "Moving" Season 2, and the announcement has sent the Korean entertainment industry into a frenzy. The original series, which became Disney+'s most-watched Korean original upon its 2023 release, will return with an expanded universe, new superpowered characters, and a storyline that reportedly takes the action global.
Expanding the Universe
Creator Kang Full, who adapted the series from his own webtoon, has confirmed that Season 2 will introduce a new generation of "movers" — individuals with extraordinary abilities — while also deepening the mythology around the shadowy government organization that has been hunting them. The season will reportedly feature a significant time jump.
- Original cast returning: Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, Zo In-sung
- New cast additions include two international actors
- Filming locations: Seoul, Tokyo, and New York
- Budget reportedly doubled from Season 1
- Expected release: Q2 2027
“Season 1 was about parents protecting their children. Season 2 is about those children stepping into their own power.”
Disney+ has also confirmed that "Moving" will be the centerpiece of their expanded Korean content strategy, with two spin-off projects already in development. The franchise is shaping up to be Disney's answer to the MCU — but rooted entirely in Korean storytelling tradition.
